Cuban pianist, composer and arranger Chucho Valdés is the most influential figure in modern Afro-Cuban jazz. Winner of five Grammy and three Latin Grammy Awards, the giant of Cuban piano makes a rare Miami appearance with a very special project, Irakere 40. With his band of top young Cuban musicians, Valdés is revisiting and reinterpreting the music of his legendary group Irakere following its 40th anniversary.
