This one-of-a-kind evening features icons from both the rock and classical worlds. Mike Mills of the mega rock band R.E.M. pairs up with violinist Robert McDuffie, to present an eclectic evening of works by John Adams, Philip Glass, and Mills himself. Inspired by the increasingly blurred lines between classical and pop music, McDuffie commissioned his longtime friend Mills to compose his “Concerto for Violin, Rock Band, and String Orchestra.” Tickets are $50-$100.
