Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, ’75, MS ’87, is a groundbreaking congresswoman. In 1989, she became the first Latina elected to the US Congress. During her nearly thirty years in Congress, she received several prominent appointments. Notably, she served as Chairwoman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
