Chad Bernstein: Guitars Over Guns & JMOF-FIU’s Annual Student Writing/Art Contest Awards Presentation. “2015 CNN Hero” Chad Bernstein will present a special workshop based on his “Guitars Over Guns” mentoring program. The nationally acclaimed program uses music education to provide positive messages to young adults and encourages them to use music as a tool to help transcend cultural, religious, and social barriers. “Guitars Over Guns Organization,” is a non-profit foundation that provides some of Miami’s most at-risk adolescents with a powerful alternative to the negative influences in their neighborhoods.
