Eugene Onegin, Tchaikovsky’s classic tale of a love gone wrong, opens at Florida Grand Opera at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Arguably Tchaikovsky’s most beloved and most famous opera, Eugene Onegin’s feverishly passionate story unfolds through the beautiful, melodic music and lush orchestration that characterize Tchaikovsky’s work. This production marks the first time Eugene Onegin has been staged at Florida Grand Opera in seventeen years. Performances are Saturday at 7 p.m.; Sunday at 2 p.m.; Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $16 to $229. This run is followed by performances on February 9 and 11 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Au-Rene Theater in Fort Lauderdale.
