ICA Miami will host a talk, “From Carpet Weavers to Transparent Architecture: 111 years of art and design education in Jerusalem,” led by the institution’s current president, Prof. Adi Stern, The talk will portray the story of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, its unique spirit and its influential alumni. Hear about the impact and importance of localism in art education, art and design education in the 21st century and its implications on the new Bezalel campus in downtown Jerusalem, designed by renowned Tokyo-based architects SANAA.
