Orchestra Miami will celebrate its Tenth Anniversary Season with a Gala Season Opening Concert featuring the superb strings of Orchestra Miami, led by Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi, along with two special guests: Argentinean-American violinist Tomás Cotik, and internationally renowned Cuban-American soprano Eglise Gutiérrez. Held in the acoustically perfect auditorium of Miami’s Scottish Rite Temple, the program includes Mozart’s Divertimento for Strings, K. 136 in D Major, followed by Piazzolla’s sensuous and sexy take on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, The Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas with Tomás Cotik as the soloist. Eglise Gutiérrez performing Rachmaninoff’s romantic Vocalise, and the concert concludes with one of Tchaikovsky’s great masterworks, the Serenade for Strings in C Major, Op. 48. Tickets range from $15 to $50 and $5 for students with IDs.
