The Alvarez family, City of Miami, and Miami Dade College (MDC) will pay special tribute to the late Cuban comedic legend, Guillermo Alvarez Guedes, on his birthday, with the unveiling of a star on Calle Ocho, a reception and a film at MDC’s Tower Theater. The star will be unveiled just outside the Tower Theater. The unveiling is open to the public. The reception and film are by invitation only.
