The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami or MOCA, will present Lanzallamas Monofonica as part of the free monthly Jazz at MOCA series. The band, known for its high-energy Afro-Latino rhythms that incorporate salsa and cumbia, has performed at prestigious festivals such as JVC Jazz Fest, Art Basel Miami Beach, Heineken Transatlantic Festival and Carnival on the Mile among others. The public is invited to come sit under the stars and enjoy the Caribbean fusion music from Lanzallamas Monofonica. The galleries will be open by donation from 7 – 10 p.m. This is an opportunity to view the current exhibition Intersectionality focusing on works by South Florida artists. Admission is free.
