South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center presents Jessica Lang Dance. Hailed as a “master of visual composition” by Dance Magazine, Jessica Lang powerfully transforms classical dance language into artfully crafted, emotionally engaging contemporary works. Audiences gravitate to her seamless combinations of set design, music and projection, with sold out performances all over the world. Lang’s breathtaking company will transform how you experience dance. On the program is Lang’s Lines Cubed described by Dance Magazine as “the physical embodiment of a Mondrian color-block painting. The clever set design (on which Lang collaborated with Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen) divides the stage and backdrop into panels of white and primary color.
