Kristi House’s annual fundraising dinner and auction event was started by volunteer philanthropists when Kristi House was just a few years old, and has become the organization’s signature fundraising event. Annually it provides 15% of Kristi House’s operating budget of  $5.2 million. In keeping with national best practices for fundraising, less than 25% of the gross proceeds is spent on “putting on” the event.

This year Kristi House, in collaboration with our gala chairs Maria Maloof, Lauren Harrison-Brown, and Priscilla Marrero, are taking our gala to new heights. We hope that we can count on you to partner in a new and innovative way. Re-imagined, this year’s “Sky’s the Limit” Gala on Saturday, April 17, 2021 reflects Kristi House’s enduring promise to meet and exceed challenges. Instead of a traditional gala, hosts and hostesses from across Miami will receive their nearest and dearest in the comforts of their own home for an unforgettable, unique travel experience. Kristi House’s team will work to plan intimate turnkey events in our donors’ homes.

Our hosts will choose their desired “destination” country and paired cuisine, perhaps with some custom elements, to make the party their own. Chefs and servers, along with DJs, bartenders and musicians if the host chooses, will make it a night to remember for up to 10 guests.
