Last Time to View Francesco Clemente: Dormiveglia
Art Exhibitions
Dormiveglia features nine large-scale oil paintings conceived in 1998 and other works by Francesco Clemente, a leading figure of the Neo- Expressionist movement. Standing, elongated, and statuesque forms of muted, pale colors suggest nebulous half-conscious states between wakefulness and sleep–near dream-like moments of reality and existence, a subject Clemente has explored throughout his career. Museum hours: Daily 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Open until 8 p.m. the First Thursday of every month. Sunday noon – 5 p.m.; Monday closed. Adults $12; seniors and military $8; students $5; free for museum members, NSU students, faculty and staff. Admission is also free every first Thursday of the month as part of Free First Thursday Starry Nights presented by PNC Bank.
