Discover historical art materials used in traditional painting; the role of painting materials in the 13th to 20th centuries through reconstructions of Old Master paintings; and the scientific practices used to distinguish between forged and original works of art. This lecture will be given by Brian Baade, Assistant Professor, Historic Art Materials, and Kristin deGhetaldi, paintings conservator, from University of Delaware.
