Marvin David Levy’s Atonement
Concerts & Performances
Orchestra Miami commemorates Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) with the Florida premiere of Marvin David Levy’s Atonement. Atonement is a reworking of three of Levy’s previous pieces that have never before been performed in South Florida. Exploring three critical moments of Jewish history — “Holocaust”, “Inquisition”, and “Masada” — Atonement will be performed by dynamic soprano and Miami favorite Elizabeth Caballero and Heldentenor Michael Robert Hendrick, with narration by Rabbi M. Thomas Heyn, Temple Israel’s spiritual leader. Orchestra Miami’s Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi will conduct the 53 professional musicians of Orchestra Miami and 16 voice choir. Tickets range from $20 to $40, with a 10% discount for seniors and $5 tickets available for students.
