Michelle Buteau is an actress, comedian, producer, and writer. She stars in and executive produces the Netflix comedy, Survival Of The Thickest, based on her book of essays. The series premiered in July 2023 and returns for Season 2 on March 27, 2025. She won the 55th NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Breakthrough Creative (Television).

In June 2024, Buteau became the first woman to tape a Netflix special at Radio City Music Hall. A BUTEAU-FUL MIND premiered December 31, 2024. Her first special, WELCOME TO BUTEAUPIA, won the Critics Choice Award.

She stars in the hit comedy, BABES, and recently wrapped SPA WEEKEND. Buteau hosts Netflix’s The Circle and Barbecue Showdown and has hosted the 2024 Billboard Music Awards and Vanity Fair Oscar Party livestream. Other credits include MARRY ME, FIRST WIVES CLUB, and ALWAYS BE MY MAYBE.
