Experience the music of Mozart in the surroundings where he intended it to be heard. The program features music which Mozart composed for Masonic ritual or inspired by Masonic symbols. Miami’s Scottish Rite Temple is one of Miami’s most iconic landmarks. Built in 1927, this spectacular building features an acoustically perfect 900 seat auditorium inside. Following the success of Orchestra Miami’s 2014 Masonic Mozart concert, this year’s concert features the beautiful and majestic Symphony N. 39 in E Flat Major, K. 543 and the dramatic Piano Concerto in D Minor, K. 466, featuring Miami’s own Paul Posnak, piano soloist. Pre-concert lecture on the history & features of the Scottish Rite building at 3 p.m. with Scottish Rite historian John Borsa, Jr. Tickets are $15-$50, reserved seating. Students/Child with adult, $5.
