Celia Birbragher has impacted not only the art scene of her native Colombia but also that in the rest of Latin America and the United States. In 2004, The Ministry of Culture of Colombia granted her the Medal for Cultural Merit. Additionally, the Association of Graduates of the Universidad de los Andes presented her with the recognition of A Life Devoted to the Arts, in 2011
