Science Art Cinema Film Festival
FilmsThe Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science will host Science Art Cinema Series 1, Episode 4: Science Art Cinema Film Festival, the final and thrilling installment of the series celebrating science and art through the lens of film. Inspired by both the influence science has had on the movie industry and the impact art has made on science films, Science Art Cinema set out to find the next generation of great short film directors. Guests have the opportunity to watch the winners from their open call in the stunning dome of the new Frost Planetarium. The evening’s program will also include pre-show entertainment from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. by Buffalo Brown and activations by the Miami Film Festival, FilmGate Miami and the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives at Miami Dade College. Attendees will have the opportunity to win a series of prizes including a Frost Science Family level membership, telescope and more. Admission is $10 for non-members / $8.50 for members.
