Join HistoryMiami Museum for a preview of South Beach, 1974-1990: Photographs of a Jewish Community before it opens to the general public. South Beach explores South Beach the way it was. During the 1970s and 1980s, highlighted photographers Gay Block, Gary Monroe, Andy Sweet, Richard Nagler and David Scheinbaum each undertook long-term documentation projects of South Beach. The exhibition will also feature Gay Block’s documentary A Bie Gesunt (As Long As You’re Well), cameras, and archival material related to the highlighted photography projects. Admission is $10 for members and free for members. The exhibit opens to the public on Friday, October 27 and will run through Sunday, April 1, 2018.
