Join us for a lecture with renowned sculptor Willie Cole. Known for assembling and transforming ordinary domestic and used objects such as irons, ironing boards, high-heeled shoes, hair dryers, bicycle parts, and other discarded appliances, into powerful works of art and installations. Cole’s art speaks to the social, political, and cultural perspectives for the African American experience.
