Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony opens with perhaps the four most famous notes in all of music. Revolutionary in its time, it is now perhaps the most well-known piece of music in history. Plus, Beethoven’s almost uncharacteristically joyful Eighth Symphony is an often-overlooked masterpiece containing just as much brilliance than his more well-known symphonies.
