The Royale is inspired by the story of Jack Johnson, a boxer who – at the height of the Jim Crow era – became the first African American world heavyweight boxing champion (1908–1915). Performances are Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 8 p.m.; Sunday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. No 7 p.m. performance on Sunday, May 29.
