Orchestra Miami’s new The Sunday Salons at Scottish Rite are a series of four intimate concerts held on Sunday afternoons in the beautiful and acoustically stunning Lodge Room at Miami’s Scottish Rite Temple. Enjoy beautiful music in a parlor-like setting, meet and mingle with members of Orchestra Miami and other guest artists, and enjoy a beverage and light refreshments, all for one low price. The series launches withh with The Orchestra Miami Trio, featuring Orchestra Miami Artistic Director/pianist Elaine Rinaldi, Cellist Aaron Merritt and Violinist Karen Lord Powell and features three works of differing styles: Ludwig van Beethoven’s sunny Trio Op. 1 N. 1 in E Flat Major, Camille Saint-Saens lushly romantic “La Muse et la Poete” Op. 132 and Joaquin Turina’s exciting Trio N. 2 in B Minor, Op. 76. $10 parking at the on-site lot or metered street parking available.
