LEAP’s Second Chance Gala “Wings of Empowerment” will feature specialty cocktails, mocktails, dinner, and dancing for an empowering evening featuring an all-female lineup of entertainment in tribute to the women of LEAP. The eclectic ensemble includes emceeConstance Jones of NBC News, pop classics across the decades with The Bango Bangos Girl Band, and a special performance by the Florida Grand Opera.

 The Second Chance Gala marks LEAP’s 15th year helping justice-impacted women and recognizing community leaders for their tremendous support. This year the gala will honor:

• Yvette Brown, LEAP Board Chair Emeritus

Individual tickets for the Wings of Empowerment Gala begin at $195 for early registration with sponsorship packages ranging from $5,000 – $50,000. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit LEAP.

LEAP empowers women who have experienced incarceration through transformational opportunities, programs, services, and advocacy. With a focus on education, entrepreneurship, and support, LEAP has been a driving force in reducing recidivism rates and providing women with the tools they need to build successful, fulfilling lives. LEAP uses an incarceration-to-community holistic approach to re-entry. Programs include classes at Miami-Dade jails and Florida State prisons, transitional housing, and employment at our social enterprise, Dragonfly Thrift Boutique.
