The YMCA of South Florida’s annual Beach Ball Gala, presented by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, is an evening supporting water safety education and drowning prevention. Florida has the most child drownings of all ages in the nation by more than double the next closest state, with Broward and Miami-Dade having the most drowning deaths in the state. Annually, that equates to enough children to fill four classrooms. For more than 100 years, the YMCA has been dedicated to ensuring that ALL children have the opportunity to learn to swim and that ALL families are educated about water safety. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner, live musical entertainment, dancing, a silent and live auction, and a wine wall.
