W Fort Lauderdale Anniversary Party
Coming off a momentous first year, W Fort Lauderdale celebrated its one year anniversary in Florida. Inviting guests to slip behind the velvet ropes, W hosted the anniversary event of the season with a special musical performance by Grammy Award-winning recording artist Estelle, made famous by her chart-topping collaboration with rapper Kanye West, titled “American Boy.” W Fort Lauderdale developer and CEO of DYL Group John Yanopoulos gave a champagne toast with model Cindy Taylor followed by a surprise performance by up-and-coming R&B/hip-hop artist Casely that led into Estelle’s intimate performance in the property’s signature Living Room space.

From Tiffany’s to CHARLEE
SocialMiami’s Aaron Glickman took a journey that led him from a book launch at Tiffany’s to an enlightening tour of CHARLEE, an organization that cares for children who have been placed in foster care due to abuse, abandonment and neglect. It was a humbling experience and here is his first person account.
…The episode still lived with him as he told the story of a new born baby who was brought to CHARLEE. The baby was shivering and Rodrigo asked if he needed a blanket. He was informed that the child was not cold and was shivering from cocaine withdrawal.
