The 10th annual FedEx/St. Jude Angels & Stars Gala presented by Manuel and Mercedes Mosteiro welcomed more than 750 guests and celebrated the humanitarian work of Latin singer Juan Luis Guerra and the work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which has changed the way the world treats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases during the last 50 years. Daisy Fuentes, television personality and entrepreneur, received a special recognition for her support of St. Jude and the gala since its inception.

“Galas like this allow St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to continue its pioneering research and lifesaving treatment, so no family ever pays St. Jude for anything,” said Richard Shadyac Jr., CEO of ALSAC/St. Jude. “As we advance treatments to cure these terrible diseases once and for all, we will continue to freely share our research discoveries around the world, so one child saved at St. Jude means thousands more saved around the world.”
