Guests at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s Fifth Annual “Wild About Kids” Gala will not only have the opportunity to raise funds for positive programs for area children who need them the most, but will also enjoy an elegant evening complete with dinner, dancing, auctions and more.

The evening will commence with a red carpet welcome and cocktail reception at 7 p.m. And at 8 p.m., guests will enter the ballroom to enjoy a delicious dinner, as well as dancing, silent and live auctions featuring one-of-a kind items, and more. Entertainment will be live music In the spirit of the celebration of youth in the South Florida community.

Throughout the evening, attendees will have the chance to sponsor a child through donations made at the Gala. Some children who are involved with Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade will also play a role in the evening, and as a special treat, the Marlins will unveil their new uniforms at a special Marlins “store” at the gala.

Lots of surprises are in store for this year’s attendees. Upon departure, guests will enjoy a signature “Wild About Kids” gala tradition: delicious hot cocoa served in the valet area.

Gala attendees will include some of South Florida’s top community leaders. Lynn Martinez, anchor of WSVN-TV Channel 7 Miami/Ft. Lauderdale’s Deco Drive, will serve as the emcee of the event. WSVN, the gala’s Media Sponsor, is preparing and sponsoring a documentary-style piece showcasing success stories about a few children in Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade, which will run throughout the evening.

The gala is chaired by Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Board member S. Shawn Khosravi, president of Bankers Companies.
