Fplco Sponsors City Year Miami Project
City Year Miami hosted its largest annual service project, sponsored by Florida Power & Light Company, dedicated to the work and life of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. His famous quote: “Everybody can be great because anyone can serve” is the flagship principle behind City Year Miami’s service model. Over 400 Miami volunteers were engaged in service at Allapattah Middle School, Lenora B. Smith Elementary School and the Allapattah Metrorail Station.
