Friendship Circle’s HEART & SOUL GALA this THURSDAY
The gala will consist of intimate dinner parties held at private homes across Miami.
Friendship Circle Miami, a beloved nonprofit organization that benefits children and adults with special needs, is getting ready for its Heart & Soul Gala happening this Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. The honorary chair Tracey Berkowitz and gala chair Michele Kaplan will help to lead the event benefiting the organization serving more than 300 families at their Kendall campus.
The funds raised from the Heart & Soul Gala will support Friendship Circle’s many programs as well as its new community center, the region’s first of its kind, scheduled to break ground in early 2021. The organization coordinates teen volunteers to spend quality time with young people having autism, down syndrome or cerebral palsy, which tends to result in deeply rooted friendships lasting lifetimes.
This year’s popular annual event will be special because the Heart & Soul Gala will consist of intimate dinner parties held at private homes across Miami. Guests will enjoy a virtual wine tasting and a catered, gourmet dining experience shared simultaneously with hosts in multiple homes across South Florida.
Small dinners will give hosts and attendees peace of mind while at the same time allowing for face-to-face interaction, meaningful conversation and hours of enjoyment. What’s more, 13-year-old, musical sensation, Jacob Velazquez of America’s Got Talent and a great friend of the Friendship Circle will dazzle the guests with a special performance.
“Due to the economic challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the monies raised from this fundraiser are more important than ever,” says Nechama Harlig, Co-director, Friendship Circle Miami.
There are two unique ways guests can experience in this year’s Heart & Soul Gala. Guests can opt for a catered gourmet dinner for 10 guests and virtual wine tasting with every detail handled meticulously throughout the evening at the hosts’ private residence.
Or they can participate with the Heart & Soul Gala Wine Tasting Box, enjoyed from the comfort of their own homes. This lets guests indulge in exclusive, hand selected fine wines from the Teperberg and Tulip Wineries in a custom curated wine box. Complementing the wine will be a private tour of the winery as well as a virtual wine tasting experience with a renowned sommelier.
