Greater Miami Jewish Federation 2016 Pacesetter Event

Nearly 500 of Miami’s most committed Jewish philanthropists came together on Thursday, December 17 for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation 2016 Pacesetter Event at the Hilton Miami Downtown.
The Pacesetter Event was co-chaired by Allison and Jerry Sokol and Jessie and Bernard Wolfson. Federation Board Chair Robert G. Berrin and General Campaign Chair Amy N. Dean spoke passionately about the important work of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. The Annual Federation/UJA Campaign provides funding to more than 100 social-service, humanitarian and educational agencies and programs in Miami, in Israel and in more than 70 other countries across the globe. This event also recognized members of Miami’s Jewish community who have created legacies through The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the Create a Jewish Legacy initiative.
A highlight of the evening was a keynote address by David Gergen, Co-Director of the Center for Public Leadership and a senior political analyst for CNN. Gergen has served as an adviser to four U.S. presidents of both parties and authored a book about presidential leadership. He is a professor of public service at the Harvard Kennedy School and the Director of its Center for Public Leadership.
