Greater Miami Jewish Federation Main Event 2021

The Jewish community came together in spectacular fashion at this year’s Greater Miami Jewish Federation Main Event on Tuesday, March 23. The memorable virtual experience brought together more than 1,000 people for a thoughtful and entertaining evening that raised more than $1 million for the Annual Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign.

Chaired by Jo and John Sumberg, the event featured music from Matisyahu, greetings from the President of the State of Israel Reuven Rivlin and an insightful conversation between The Rt. Hon. Tony Blair, Prime Minister, Great Britain and Northern Ireland (1997-2007) and journalist and PBS television host Alison Lebovitz. Attendees also learned all the ways Federation is helping those in need during the challenges of the pandemic.

Rt. Hon. Tony Blair, Prime Minister, Great Britain and Northern Ireland (1997-2007) had a lively and thought-provoking discussion with Journalist and PBS Television Host Alison Lebovitz.
Isaac K. “Ike” Fisher, Chair of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, detailed how Federation is making a difference for the most vulnerable.
The President of the State of Israel Reuven Rivlin addressed Miami’s Jewish community for the last time prior to completing his term.
Guests enjoyed a special musical performance of the worldwide hit “One Day” by Matisyahu.
Michelle Ben-Aviv, Chair of Federation’s Hebrew Free Loan Association (HFLA), discussed her personal connection to the program and how it has been helping individuals during the pandemic.
General Campaign Chair Ariel Bentata highlighted the impact Federation has in the Jewish community.
Working with the band Distant Cousins, Federation’s Young Leadership Division created an original song.
