Greater Miami Jewish Federation Women’s Event
A Gathering with Flair

Federation Board Chair Barbara Black Goldfarb
and Norma Kipnis Wilson
More than 600 people recently came together for The Women’s Event of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation at the Hilton Miami Downtown. During the event, Federation’s Women’s Philanthropy department proudly acknowledged the dedication of all women in the community who have committed their resources to care for those in need, support vital programs and strengthen Jewish life in Miami, in Israel and in 64 other countries around the world.
The luncheon featured a keynote address by award-winning journalist and broadcasting veteran Campbell Brown. She shared her perspective as a woman in the news business as well as her personal journey in becoming a Jewish wife, mother and daughter-in-law.
The Women’s Event also celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Lion of Judah, founded in Miami by Norma Kipnis Wilson and Toby Friedland, of blessed memory. This groundbreaking philanthropic giving program now comprises 17,500 women worldwide who generously support their local Federation/UJA Campaign as a statement of their dedication to the Jewish community.
