Humane Society Names Clinic After Gardnar Mulloy
Tennis legend Gardnar Mulloy turned 99 in November, and one of his legacies is the Gardnar Mulloy Pet Rescue Clinic at the Soffer and Fine Adoption Center in North Miami. Mulloy was born in Miami, Florida in 1913. He is a graduate of the University of Miami Law School and served in World War II. Many people know him as a tennis star who won 122 National and 27 International Tennis Championships, including Wimbeldon, but Mulloy is first and foremost an animal lover. He founded Pet Rescue in 1982 with a group of like –minded animal lovers, which merged with the Humane Society of Greater Miami in 2009.
