More than 300 people attended the American Cancer Society event at Indian Creek Country Club and more than $90,000 was raised. The Inner Circle of Twelve recognizes twelve outstanding women for their leadership, volunteerism, community involvement and dedication to the American Cancer Society’s mission. Those who attended enjoyed the main Fashion Show produced and presented by Sonia Gibson and Jennifer Heegaard of Sonia Gibson & Associates and designer Michael Vollbracht, formerly of Bill Blass, who showcased his Spring 2010 Collection.
Jammin’ at Joey’s with Myra Wexler
I took my usual seat on Joey’s patio and was anxious to see who would be joining me to jam at The Table. Arlys Raymond, Executive Director of the Bakehouse Art Complex (BAC) came in with Lauren Wagner, Associate Director of Exhibitions and the president of their board, art dealer Harvey Oxenberg.
Harvey was oh so clear in expressing his belief in the Bakehouse and how the art co-op’s future was looking strong. In fact, BAC is contributing to Miami’s multi-cultural mystique by hosting a group of artists from NGO Art Studios in the Republic of Macedonia for a six-week residency program in April.

ArteAmericas Preview
About 270 art lovers came to the Conrad Miami’s dramatic Level 25 for a preview of Arteaméricas, Miami’s premiere Latin American Art Fair. The event was sponsored jointly by Stella Holmes, president of Overseas Partners Realty, the director of Arteaméricas Dora Valdés-Fauli, and Martin Wormull, general manager of the Conrad Hotel. Arteaméricas, this year revitalized by a new management team led by Director Dora Valdés-Fauli, will run March 26-29 at Miami Beach Convention Center.
