Israel is at War
Greater Miami Jewish Federation has opened an Israel Emergency Fund and is organizing a Solidarity Rally TONIGHT
The Greater Miami Jewish Federation is taking the highly unusual step of communicating to you during Shabbat and the Sukkot/Simchat Torah holiday because our beloved State of Israel is at war.
Unprovoked, multi-front attacks this morning surprised the nation, bringing traumatizing resonance to Israelis who this week are commemorating 50 years since the Yom Kippur War.
Federation is in close contact with our overseas partners, and we anticipate an unprecedented need for cash to assist victims of terror and their families.
Heavy casualties and more than 100 deaths among civilians and the military are being reported. Numerous Israelis, including women and children, are believed to be held captive. Many more have been injured as thousands of rockets and terrorist attacks have been aimed toward civilian population centers all over Israel.
This is a time for unity of the Jewish people in Israel and abroad. We call on our community to stand in solidarity with Israel during this time.
As always, Federation will absorb all administrative costs so that 100 percent of funds donated will provide critically needed aid to victims and their families.
