Coral Gables Trust Company, one of the top trust and wealth management firms headquartered in Florida, the Fine Art Group based in London, and philanthropist and realtor Nancy Batchelor with Compass Real Estate recently hosted an in depth, informative art discussion on “It Is All About Value: An Expert’s View into the Art & Collectable’s Market.”

Held at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami’s Design District, the Fine Art Group’s Anita Heriot, President of the Americas, and Colleen Boyle, Senior Director, shared insights with the more than 60 art collectors gathered for the sit-down luncheon and presentation discussing topics including global buyers and economic growth, democratization of sales, recession and tangible assets, and a look at the November 2021 Auction Roundup: New York.

Among the highlights shared were the recent Christie’s sale where Andy Warhol’s “Shot Sage Blue Marilyn” achieved $195,040,000, making it the most expensive 20th century artwork ever sold at auction and the most expensive artwork every sold by a US artist at auction.

“Coral Gables Trust Company is uniquely able to work with clients who require advisory experience with non-traditional and alternative illiquid assets including artworks,” said James W. Davidson, Chairman and CEO of Coral Gables Trust Company. “We’re very pleased to partner with the Fine Art Group combining our shared experience, creativity and flexibility to advise clients on holding such assets.”

Notable guests in attendance included Nancy and Jon Batchelor, Nicole Lozano, Oscar Seikaly, Julie and Bob Williamson, Ed Luzine, Isaac and Tania Murciano, Steve and Caroline Tanger, Dennis Scholl, Marjorie Stone, Rick Rodriguez, Father Jose Luis Menendez and Carol Damian.
