Juanes
A top-selling Latin Rock artist and Miami resident, Juanes appeared at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Miami to meet some of his fans just prior to his concert at the American Airlines Arena. The Miami event was sponsored by Ford. A dedicated global activist and renowned musician Juanes has won 12 Latin Grammy awards and has been declared “the single most important figure of the past decade in Latin pop music” by the Los Angeles Times and “One of the 100 Most Influential People in the World” by Time Magazine. His Mi Sangre Foundation works for the rehabilation of people who have been victims of land minds in Colombia. He also recently organized a concert as a response to the 2008 Andean diplomatic crisis that took place on the Colombia-Venezuela border and attracted 300,000 people. “It was more than a concert, it was a symbol of peace, a fraternity between citizens,” he told SocialMiami.com.
