Juvenile Diabetes Luncheon
Darlene Perez and Kara Ross, wives of Jorge Perez (Chairman and CEO of The Related Group) and his best friend and partner, Steve Ross (The Related Companies in NY) hosted a fashionable luncheon event during the Viceroy Miami grand opening weekend. Amidst the stunning decor created by star designer Kelly Wearstler, who was also in attendance, Kara Ross showcased her spring/summer collection of exotic handbags, fine and boutique jewelry, selling over $30,000 during the lunch, with a percentage donated to the Diabetes Research Institute. The charity was selected as the cause spearheaded by one of the event hosts, Michelle Rubell, of the Rubell hotelier/art collector family. Other hosts included Lana Bernstein, Alicia Cevera, Raysa Fanjul, Therese Gibb, Jamie Jo Harris, Melanie Herman, Nicole Simkins, and Amy Zakarin.
