Bringing Back the Vintage Gentleman
One of the most rewarding aspects of Miami’s cultural renaissance is the talent generated from our city’s caldron of creative influences. Fine artists like Jill Hotchkiss and Bakehouse photographer Bobby O’Neill, Latin rock bands Suenalo and Vecinos De La Noche, furniture designers Doug and Gene Meyer, actor Stephen Trovillion: each an example of inspired aptitude manifesting itself in a growing imaginative movement.
On the fashion front, a new name has popped into the conversation following her debut at a local charity function. Kahill is a high fashion men’s line created by Ashley Kahill Liemer. This burgeoning superstar incorporates her training as an artist into a sophisticated line that pays homage to 20’s and 30’s prohibition era styles while incorporating modern design details like silk stitching and Jersey knit pant bottoms.
“We’re bringing back the vintage gentleman,” says Kahill. “My line is for men with class.”
