Kiwanis Club Of Little Havana Supports Kids!

For the past 40 years the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana has been making a difference in the lives of thousands of South Florida families through service projects, like summer camp for underprivileged kids aged 7 to 13; scholarships for Hispanic students dreaming of a college education; mentoring and coaching through its Youth Basketball Program; and more than 6,000 youngsters each year receiving backpacks filled with school supplies through the Back-to-School Project. The projects are funded through special events, the most notable of which is Carnaval Miami, an annual festival held in March. Here’s a salute to this energetic local club as they celebrate 40 years of giving back to Miami! Pictured: Summer campers enjoying the excitement and fun of a day at camp.
