Mbbg’s New Executive Director Sandy Shapiro
Sandy Shapiro has been appointed executive director of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. A resident of Bay Harbor Islands, Shapiro is a longtime board member of the the Miami Beach Garden Conservancy, the nonprofit organization that manages the garden, and is co-president of the Miami Beach Garden Club. Shapiro will lead the garden’s staff of six employees, oversee maintenance and improvements to the 2.6-acre botanical garden, and lead marketing, membership and fundraising initiatives.
