Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Hugs & Kisses Children’s Fashion Show a Success!

The 6th Annual Hugs & Kisses Children’s Fashion Show was held on Saturday, April 9th at the JW Marriott Hotel in Brickell. This year’s event “Cosmic Craze,” was chaired by Zurami Pascual Martinez and Carmen Carolina Lauria. Proud parents and grandparents, as well as other family members, were in attendance, with over 150 children ages newborn to 14 participating in the fashion show. The kids strutted down the runway sporting apparel from premier area boutiques and retailers such as Alexa & Jack, Bognar & Piccolini, Boy Meets Girl, Bri Bri, Le Petit Choux, Oilily and Peter Pan. In addition to the fashion show, a silent auction was held with such luxury items as a Burberry Stroller, Luella Bartley handbag, Buccellati silver frame, a basketball signed by the entire Miami Heat team, including Shaq and Zo, and a ton of other goodies that caused a bidding frenzy with the crowd. Hugs & Kisses draws top names from the community and this year was no exception. Guests included Constance Fernandez, Maritere Secada, Marlen Pernetti, Norma Quintero, Jon and Nancy Batchelor, Dany Johnson, Florence Hecht, Cristy and Glen Rice, Regine Basha, Dr. Jonathan Jagid and his wife Claudia, Lisi Port, DJ and Steve Kerr, Vivian Mas, Gus and Jeanie Vidaurreta, Beba Padron, Vicky Lowell, Nicole Lozano and Connie Parraga of David Yurman in Bal Harbour.
