Miami City Ballet Silent Auction Now Open
Support the city's valued dance company by acquiring original artwork and unique items
Back in March, Miami City Ballet may have halted it’s much-anticipated annual gala, but the organization has imagined up new and creative ways to keep fans engaged and able to support the mission. As MCB prepares to host its first ever “Cocktails in Countless Spaces” virtual fundraising event on June 25, it has opened an online silent auction featuring an array of gorgeous, one of a kind items, thanks to the efforts and leadership of the 2020 Gala Committee.
Highlights include an original work by celebrated visual artist Peter Tunney, designed exclusively for Miami City Ballet. Also up for auction is a stunning Judith Leiber Couture Crystal Clutch Bag courtesy of Neiman Marcus Bal Harbor, Romero Britto’s whimsical “Prima Donna II” and much, much more.
Online bidding is open now at Bidding Owl and closes Sunday, June 28. Funds raised from the auction help ensure the employment of more than 100 dedicated employees, including the amazing dancers you’ve come to know and love, the School’s teaching artists and pianists, the talented wardrobe staff who magically make costumes come to life (and are currently making masks for hospitals and homeless populations), and everyone else who make Miami City Ballet the world-class performing arts organization it is today.
Miami City Ballet has endured because of the generous outpouring of love and support from donors and community members who have championed them every step of the way. As they enter their 35th anniversary season in uncharted waters, one thing is certain… Miami City Ballet is committed to being there for the community now, more than ever.
