New World Design

The Miami Downtown Development Authority and the City of Miami commemorated the completion of Biscayne Boulevard’s “New World Design,” which has transformed more than 10 contiguous blocks of Biscayne Boulevard from a street of broken schemes into what planners see as the City’s grand entrance. Immediately following the ceremony, the festivities continued with a Brazilian festival at the American Airlines Arena’s East Plaza featuring a live performance by Rio-based trio, Bossacucanova, as well as Capoeira demonstrations, Samba dancers and Brazilian drummers.
