You’re invited to the most highly anticipated cultural event of the year – The New World Symphony’s Grand Opening Gala. Join Gala Chairs Susan Kronick and Edward Shumsky in the first black tie event in the New World Symphony’s Frank Gehry-designed campus that will redefine the future of classical music on a global level. The gala will unlock this “music box” and bring it to life for 450 of the world’s elite architecture and music lovers, dedicated philanthropists, business leaders and cultural dignitaries.

Celebrate the New World Symphony alongside Co-Founder and Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas with a multimedia concert, featuring the world premiere of stunning video art complementing Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Afterward, enjoy cocktails while surrounded by Gehry’s soaring shapes and then dinner under the stars on the Mary and Howard Frank Plaza.

For Gala guests and Friends of the New World Symphony late-night gala ticket holders joining for an electrifying after-party, the evening will culminate with a special surprise performance.

As guests of the gala are treated to champagne and surprise entertainment inside, the east-facing exterior of the building will entice and captivate the City of Miami Beach and park goers with live, specially created video projections of concert performances and an art mural.

This event is part of a week-long celebration marking the opening of Frank Gehry’s only Florida creation. A global hub for creative expression and collaboration and a laboratory for the ways music is taught, presented and experienced, the new building will enable the New World Symphony to continue its role as a leader in integrating technology with music education and concert presentation.

All proceeds benefit the exhilarating future of the New World Symphony and their community engagement projects. Benefit Levels: $100,000, $50,000 and $25,000. Single Tickets: $2,500.
