On March 25, 2022 the long awaited celebration for the opening of the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at UHealth/Jackson Memorial was held. Opened to the public in March 2020, over the last two years the facility has become one of the premiere rehabilitation hospitals in the nation. The Lynn Rehabilitation Center boasts a multidisciplinary team of Jackson nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals working with physicians and scientists from The Miami Project, University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial to produce optimized functional outcomes. This exciting integration of clinical and research entities under one roof will help accelerate the development of new therapies and interventions for the many people dealing with complex neurotrauma events.
Steeped in state-of-the-art technology, the 260,000-square-foot facility features 72 inpatient beds, an aquatic center, driving simulator, rooftop terrace, meditation space, transition apartments, and an activity garden. Barth A.
