Mission Statement

The Cancer Support Community Greater Miami (formerly The Wellness Community – Greater Miami) which opened its doors in Miami in 2002, is part of an international organization dedicated to providing FREE cancer support services to patients and their loved ones. In July 2009, The Wellness Community – National and Gilda’s Club joined forces to become the largest provider of cancer support worldwide. This combined organization is now called the Cancer Support Community.

Cancer Support Community Greater Miami provides FREE emotional and educational support services to children, teens and adults with cancer, as well as their loved ones, no matter what the stage of their disease or recovery. Their program features support groups, lectures, workshops and exercise techniques, all led by professionals licensed in their field of expertise. These FREE services are offered all under one roof in a setting that is designed to feel like a home allowing for a warm and comforting environment.

The mission of the CSCGM is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.
