Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami

Mission Statement

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami is a non-profit organization that transforms lives and communities by providing low-income families with affordable homeownership opportunities.
Habitat builds and renovates homes in partnership with low income families who invest hundreds of hours of “sweat equity” in building their homes as well as that of others. Families then purchase the homes with a Habitat provided zero percent mortgage.
This year, Habitat will be breaking ground on its 1000th Miami-Dade home.

We engage people of conscience within our community by providing volunteer and financial support opportunities to accomplish our mission. Last year alone, more than 8,000 volunteers participated in Habitat projects.
Habitat also has a retail store, the ReStore, in Cutler Ridge at 20811 South Dixie Highway, where the general public can purchaser home goods (furniture, appliances and building materials) at greatly reduced prices. All of our proceeds from ReStore go directly towards our mission.
