Miami Watercolor Society, Inc.
The Miami Watercolor Society has been in existence since 1974, and has a membership of approximately 140. MWS is a volunteer-based, culturally diverse, non-profit organization. In addition to professionals, membership is comprised of artists at all levels. This includes students as well as members of the Florida and National Watercolor Societies. Monthly meetings at the Pinecrest Community Center (2nd Sunday of each month), usually include painting demonstrations. MWS holds workshops throughout the year, led by noted artists from around the Country. The Society is also involved in community service, offering free lessons to it’s novice members and partnering with Miami-Dade County Art Education Department to produce an annual student art show.
